Description: Prior to this version, the Shared Files Conflict dialog always appeared when running the software in Windows NT with the file COMMDLG.DLL listed. Even though the software works fine despite this file conflict, this problem has been fixed. 2) Overflow error sometimes occurs when generating tables from calculated thermistor polynomial coefficients. Description: In version 2.2, an Overflow error sometimes occured when attempting to generate tables from thermistor polynomial coefficients that TableWare calculated. This problem has been fixed. 3) Extrapolating for Type R and Type S Thermocouple probes. Description: A new range setting has been added for Type R and Type S Thermocouple probes. This range is named "-50.0°C to 1768.1°C (using extrapolation)". Selecting this range allows TableWare to automatically determine which reference function to use when calculating coefficients and table values based on the temperature value. Selecting one of the other available ranges forces TableWare to use only the reference function for that range. 4) Temperature vs. EMF (mV) table option added. Description: Temperature vs. EMF (mV) tables can now be generated as well as Temperature vs. EMF (uV) for thermocouple probes. 5) Residuals for Thermocouple probes in same scale as UUT readings. Description: Residuals for thermocouple probes are now displayed/printed in the scale that the UUT readings were entered in instead of always being displayed/printed in uV. 6) Exporting raw data to ASCII text file feature added. Description: An Export button has been added to the Raw Data dialog which allows raw data to be saved to an ASCII text file in comma delimited format. 7) Thermistor polynomials limited to 6th order maximum. Description: The maximum order for thermistor polynomials has been reduced from 9th order to 6th order. Thermistor probes do not need to be fitted above the 6th order. =================================================== IMPORANT INFORMATION FOR BUILD V2.2.0.2 =================================================== The Hart Scientific 9933 TableWare Software v2.2 build 2.2.0.2 was created to fix the following problems. 1) Inverse Difference column (dr/dT) should be labeled dT/dW. Description: When generating Temperature vs. Ratio tables, the Inverse Difference column was incorrectly labeled "dT/dr" prior to build 2.2.0.2. The label has been changed to correctly read "dT/dW". 2) First Derivative and Inverse Difference column values incorrect when tables are generated in °F. Description: When generating Temperature vs. Resistance tables or Temperature vs. Ratio tables in °F, the values in the First Derivative (dr/dT) column and Inverse Difference column (dT/dW) displayed the values as if the table were in °C. This bug has been fixed in build 2.2.0.2. 3) Extrapolating message incorrectly appears when generating tables in °F or K. Description: The Extrapolating message incorrectly appeared when generating a table when, a) the Table Scale was set to °F or K AND, b) the Minimum Temp. and/or Maximum Temp. setting fell outside the recommended temperature range in °C. This bug has been fixed in build 2.2.0.2. ---------------------------------------------------------------- To fix the bugs listed above, the following files were modified: Name Date Stamp HART9933.EXE 06/03/1998 CALCCOEF.DLL 06/03/1998 CALCTABL.DLL 06/03/1998 ---------------------------------------------------------------- =================================================== IMPORANT INFORMATION FOR BUILD V2.2.0.1 =================================================== The Hart Scientific 9933 TableWare Software v2.2 build 2.2.0.1 was created to fix the following problem. 1) Overflow error when generating tables for thermistor probes. Description: TableWare version 2.2 had a bug that caused an Overflow error when attempting to generate tables from thermistor polynomial coefficients that TableWare calculated. This bug has been fixed in build 2.2.0.1. =================================================== IMPORANT INFORMATION FOR V2.2 =================================================== The Hart Scientific 9933 TableWare Software v2.2 has been upgraded to include the following features: 1) A warning message will appear when calculating thermocouple coefficients if one of the selected set-points is within 5° of 0°C. The algorithm used to calculate thermocouple coefficients forces the EMF at 0°C to 0.0µV. Therefore, using a set-point at or near 0°C when calculating thermocouple coefficients may cause erroneous results. For best results, use at least two set-points that are not near 0°C. 2) The model and serial number labels used on the report and table are now editable. These labels can be changed to display whatever information your process requires. Simply enter the appropriate text in the Caption and Value boxes on the Probe Information dialog. This information will print on the report and table exactly as it is entered. 3) The report and table now support page numbering in the "Page x of y" format. For reports, Page Numbering dialog appears when the Print Report button is selected asking for the page number of the report and the total number of pages. The report itself always fits on one letter-size page. For tables, the starting page number is selected from the Table Options dialog. The number of pages depends on the temperature range as well as the font size and is determined automatically by the software. Adding this feature to the software made it necessary to create the table twice: first to determine the number of pages, then to print the page numbers on each page. For this reason, it now takes twice as long to generate a table. See the Help file for more details. 4) The table can now be printed in increments of 0.01°. Prior to version 2.2, the minimum allowable increment was 0.1°. Note: Generating tables over a large range using a small increment may take a few minutes, especially on 386 and some 486 PCs. 5) In conjunction with item 4 above, the default resolution for temperature values on tables is now two decimal places. =================================================== IMPORANT INFORMATION FOR V2.1 =================================================== The Hart Scientific 9933 TableWare Software v2.1 has been upgraded to include the following features: Build 2.1.0.0- 1) When calculating Polynomial coefficients for Platinum probes, a dialog is displayed asking for the temperature scale to use to calculate the coefficients if the Reference readings are not in Kelvin (K). Some instruments that use Polynomial coefficients require that the coefficients be calculated using a specific temperature scale. Prior to version 2.1, the TableWare software always calculated Polynomial coefficients using Reference readings in Kelvin. Thermistor probes are still handled in this way. Build 2.1.0.1- 1) Prior to this build, TableWare did not properly calculate ITS-90 Range 6 coefficients. Generated tables based on ITS-90 Range 6 coefficients were also incorrect. 2) The available resolutions have been updated to allow up to 9 digits after the decimal point. The prior maximum was 7 places. =================================================== IMPORANT INFORMATION FOR V2.0 =================================================== The Hart Scientific 9933 TableWare Software v2.0 has been upgraded to include the following features: 1) The 9933 TableWare Software was previously named Coefficient Calculation Software. 2) A Print Preview window has been added so that reports and tables can be viewed on-screen before being printed to a printer. 3) The TableWare Software now allows tables to be exported to an ASCII text file. This makes it possible to import the table into a spreadsheet or other application. 4) The TableWare Software now has the capability of generating a table from coefficients entered by the user. No raw data is required. 5) The default printer may now be selected from the File menu. This option allows the user to determine which printer (if more than one printer can be used) the reports and tables are printed to, or which printer driver is used. 6) The TableWare Software also allows the user to enter the date that appears on the report or table. This is especially useful when generating a table for a probe using coefficients that were calculated on a previous date. For more information on using these features, see the 9933 TableWare Help file. The Help file can be accessed by pressing the F1 key at any time while the TableWare Software is running. =================================================== TECHNICAL SUPPORT =================================================== If you have any problems running the Hart Scientific 9933 TableWare Software, call Hart Scientific Technical Support at (801) 763-1600 or 1-800-438-4278 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MST.
